I heard about Bloomberg's announcement today, so I went to Project VoteSmart to see what he was all about - if he was truly independent. He's not on the site yet, but, while there, I stumbled upon this lil' fella. I don't think there's any way I could not vote for him. Please check out his NPAT comments and his website.
